It is with great pleasure that we welcome researchers, speakers, industries and exhibitors/sponsors to the 2^nd edition of the International Conference on the Valorisation of Biomass for Sustainable Applications, which will be held from 7 to 8 October 2025 in Tunisia at the Biotechnology Center of Borj-Cedria (CBBC).

The organising committee, with the support of the BIOVASA 2025 scientific committee, will prepare an attractive scientific programme including lectures by internationally recognised experts in the field of green extraction and practical work on different food applications and the valorisation of biomass. This programme should enable participants to acquire basic knowledge and practical skills and to gain a better understanding of the principles and methods involved in the green chemistry process applied in the food, cosmetics and pharmaceutical industries and in biorefineries.

Our aim is to offer both the experience of a scientific conference and the opportunity to meet colleagues from all over the world and to participate in informal conversations about science and research. Our main mission will be to facilitate interaction between industry experts and leading academic scientists in these fields in order to exchange and share their experiences and research results on all aspects of green extraction, discuss the latest innovations and trends, and develop new ideas and practical challenges.

The 2nd International Congress on the Valorisation of Biomass for Sustainable Applications - BIOVASA 2025 will focus on the valorisation of agricultural and food waste, bioprocess resources and innovative conversion technologies in the fields of fragrances, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, food, biofuels, chemicals and energy, as well as the green chemistry market.

This congress will cover the entire value chain, from cultivation to extraction, including processing, recycling and applications in the agri-food, nutraceutical, perfume, cosmetics, chemical, fuel and energy sectors, through plenary lectures, opening lectures, opening industrial lectures, oral presentations and poster contributions.
